             ART and PHOTOS
from TV programs, magazines and newspapers

Displayed now are newspaper and TV art and photos.

Shortly, there will be art and photos from programs and periodicals

throughout the U.S. and other countries that our IFIC helped with
                                                  or appeared in.

1)  BRIBE:  A mortician secretly gives a gift (payoff, kickback) to a minister/priest as a casket is carried to a grave.

Click here.   This is from several articles in The Arizona Republic newspaper about religious bribes (cars; $5,000; trips; regular full-days of golf, dinner and casino; golf tournaments; etc.) offered by mortuaries to bishops, ministers and  priests.

This is in return for the pastor helping with the rip-off by:
         a)
distributing a high-priced mortuary's advertising calendars
to all families at church services (to give families the
impression that the pastor recommends the mortuary and
               its high prices and tactics),
         b)
sending families to that high-priced mortuary, and
         c)
not warning his families about its unjust high prices and
               deceptive tactics.

This picture was more than a half-page tall, one of the largest editorial drawings ever published in a major newspaper.

2)  GRAVESTONE:  On national TV, in a short movie clip, a gravestone, with a "$" on it, represented the price tag that popped up in a window of old-fashioned cash registers to show the price.

Click here.   Here, a gravestone slowly rose up out of the grave to indicate the high prices of funerals, as viewers heard the ringing of a cash register bell.

In the bottom photo, Fr. Wasielewski (at right) explained how mortuaries cheat families.

This is from the national ABC-TV's "HOME" show (now "Regis and Kelly") that explained about funeral rip-offs - and about our IFIC research and activities.

Fr. Wasielewski, of our IFIC, showed photos of caskets and gave their secret wholesale prices on national TV - the FIRST TIME in U.S. history that the secret prices were revealed nationally to the public. And he explained how much profit most mortuaries make (up to $3,500+ on each casket).

3) "CHEAP EXITS":  A little of your money goes into a grave - but most of the rip-off stays above as huge profit for the mortician. "You don't have to bury your finances with you. There are ways to cut the cost of a funeral" says the subheading of an investigative newspaper article.

Click here.  This is part of an article reporting on funerals in New Jersey. The article shows how much money families lose at high-priced mortuaries - as compared to the prices they could pay at fair-priced mortuaries for the same funerals and caskets.
